    You can only purchase this level of Industrial Grade cameras from Redwood Electronics. That's because after we get them, but before you do, we put each unit through a special industrialization process which makes it highly shock & vibration resistant.
    Consumer grade cameras are available at a slightly lower price, but they are designed for use in light duty applications such as convenience stores and shopping malls. We do not recommend them for the harsher environments of an industrial plant.
    Our service records show there is a considerably higher failure rate with consumer grade (off-the-shelf) units. This rate is dramatically reduced by using our industrial models.

This camera met with an industrial accident. A consumer grade unit would have probably been totaled. This Industrial Grade model still worked and was soon back on the job after requiring only a few exterior parts.
